Six Romanian tennis players will compete at the Australian Open tennis tournament starting next week.
Victor Hanescu is going to meet Juan Ignacio Chela (Argentina) in his first match.
For Sorana Carstea, Olivia Rogowska (Australia) will be the first competitor, and Monica Niculescu will meet Jelena Jankovici (Serbia).
For Alexandra Dulgheru, the competitor has not yet been chosen, while Raluca Olaru is scheduled to play Kateryna Bondarenko (Ukraine), and Edina Gallovits will play Nadia Petrova (Russia).
The Australian Open will take place from 18 to 31 January in Melbourne.
