Warlord robot has all the right moves

NAGOYA--Marking the city's 400th anniversary, a robot maker displayed an armor-clad robot resembling Oda Nobunaga (1534-1582), one of the region's most powerful and famous warlords.
The 30-centimeter-tall machine is able to dance the famous Noh play "Atsumori," which Oda used to love performing.
Robobase clad the robot in a replica of Oda's suit of armor, which is preserved at the Takeisaojinja shrine in Kyoto.
The robotic Oda was unveiled Sunday, putting on a five-minute performance at an event in Nagoya's Naka Ward.
Robotic versions of Tokugawa Ieyasu (1543-1616) and Toyotomi Hideyoshi (1537-1598) are also in the works. Robobase expects to complete the famous triumvirate of warlords by April.
The Oda robot is not for sale and will be displayed at exhibitions.
