Casey Johnson was found dead at the age of just 30 - were alcohol or drugs involved in her tragic death?
The cosmetics heiress died one month after getting engaged to YouTube star Tila Tequila (28), but the exact circumstances are not yet known.
Some reports, however, have suggested excessive alcohol may be to blame – and that her drinking had sent her life out of control to the extent that she had broken off contact with her family.
And insiders suggested that her inheritance had been cut off because of disputes over her alcohol and drug abuse.
In the past few months there had been frequent public drinking bouts and quarrelling involving Casey and her friends. She had even been charged with grand theft.
Johnson was a diabetic and, according to ‘TMZ’, also took tablets for anxiety.
The website had earlier reportedthat her lifeless body had been discovered at her house in LA on Monday morning.
An investigation into the cause of her death has been launched.
Casey reportedly saw her fiancée far the last time last week, when the couple had a fight.
On December 29 Tila tried to reach Johnson because she had left her dogs behind – but her calls remained unanswered.
Was the mega-rich Casey, part of the Johnson & Johnson dynasty which produces everything from baby powder to sanitary towels, already dead by then?
On Tuesday evening, her fiancee Tila wrote on her Twitter page: “I love u so so much and we will Marry when I see U in Heaven my Wifey [sic]”.
The couple had only announced their engagement in December in an internet video, and had been looking forward with hope to a happy future together.
Shortly afterwards Tila and Casey demonstrated great passion on the red carpet at the Malice N Wonderland party in California, cuddling and making out.
They had even been planning a family, with Tila writing on her homepage that Casey was the love of her life and that she would soon be pregnant.
A happiness which was so tragically short-lived…
