River rescue drama on the Lagan

Emergency services have rescued a woman from the River Lagan, in Belfast
In an operation involving river rescue, police, Fire and Rescue Service and the Ambulance Service, the woman was pulled to safety yesterday from the river between the Queen’s Bridge and Lagan Lookout in Belfast.
A PSNI spokeswoman said: “Shortly after 4.40pm police were made aware that a woman was in the Lagan. The woman was rescued by another agency”.
Two Lagan rescue workers clung on to the woman in the water as their boat gently guided them to safety. Once she was pulled on to the pontoon, the woman received treatment from waiting paramedics before being carefully transported to an ambulance.
