A Romanian man was sentenced to 30 years in prison yesterday (Mon) for the murder of an OAP in northern Italy, it emerged today (Tues).
Ionut Felician Szylay, 26, broke into the flat of OAP Francesca Cristiani, 83, in Albuzzano in northern Italy and tried to rape her.
Cristiani screamed, alerting her neighbour who called police. Szylay immediately ran away, but Cristiani died of a heart attack shortly thereafter.
Police eventually caught Szylay and arrested him.
