These army girls are more than happy to show off their weapons!
The partners of British soldiers – known as SWAGs, or service wives and girlfriends – stripped off for a charity calendar.
There’s no way they want to sit at home doing nothing whilst their brave boys are off serving in Afghanistan!
Kelly Monk (20) had the idea to create the calendar, and even posed naked for it.
Her boyfriend Andrew Mason (21) is with the 2nd Battalion the Princess of Wales Regiment in the British Army, and he agreed to the photos.
Kelly said: “My boyfriend is fine with it. He knows that it’s for a good cause”.
The project has already raised nearly €30,000 – even though the calendar isn’t exactly packed with perfect model bodies! The cash will go to help soldiers wounded in Afghanistan through the Help for Heroes charity.
Kelly had lots of fun at the photo shoot: “We were nervous at first, but then we really started enjoying it and everyone had a laugh”.
Some 50 wives and girlfriends of soldiers volunteered to pose naked on the parade ground, in front of a tank, holding guns and on a plane wing.
