WASHINGTON (Politically Illustrated) – Craigslist is coming under scrutiny for profiting from prostitution and for a Dad trying to sell his children.
“Selling my kids on the Craigslist black market. I have two kids, two and one year old,” read the ad, posted by Joshua Stagnitto, 24, a Rochester, New York gentleman.
“It’s definitely not the best decision I could have made,” he told CNN. “I thought it would be funny if I put my kids on there because how more ridiculous can you possibly get”.
Mr. Stagnitto’s ad comes as The New York Times ran an investigative piece claiming Craigslist profits from prostitution.
The New York Times accuses Craigslist of raking in top-money from sexual classified ads, which appear to be listings for prostitution – an illegal act in the United States (except Los Vegas).
Advanced Interactive Media estimates Craigslist’s revenue will soar 22 percent from sexual ads.
