WASHINGTON (Politically Illustrated) – Russia banned writings from Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard on Wednesday placing his writings on a list of extremist literature for undermining traditional values in Russia.
The literature is “undermining the traditional spiritual values of the citizens of the Russian Federation,” said a prosecutor in Russia, reported by the Moscow Times.
The ruling banned all writings by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard in Russia under a controversial law prohibiting extremism in Russia.
Among the works to be banned are “The Factors, Admiration and the Renaissance of Beingness” and “The Unification Congress. Communication! Freedom and Ability”.
According to prosecutors the seized works contain “ideas justifying violence in general and in particular any means of opposing critics of Scientology,” read the prosecutor’s statement.
“The works have clear as well as hidden calls for social and religious hatred”.
