Christine Nixon to fight accusations she deliberately misled royal commission

Ms Nixon said any such allegation by counsel assisting the commission would be strenuously defended.
"I strongly reject the allegations that I attempted to mislead the commission," the ex- police chief commissioner said.
A submission from counsel assisting relating to leadership recommends that the commission find Ms Nixon attempted to mislead it about her whereabouts on Black Saturday.
The 200-page submission, seen by the Herald Sun, also recommends that it find she failed to discharge her responsibilities as co-ordinator of the state's disaster plan.
"It is of serious concern that submissions that argue just one approach, and have yet to be put to the commission, have made their way into the public arena," Ms Nixon said. Link
