Flamboyant strip club owner killed in South Africa

JOHANNESBURG — South African police say they are hunting for the killer of a flamboyant strip club owner.

Police spokesman Lt. Col. Eugene Opperman said Tuesday that officers found Emmanuel "Lolly" Jackson's body, shot several times, in a house near Johannesburg after receiving a call Monday from a man who said he wanted to surrender.

Opperman says the caller left in Jackson's vehicle before police arrived. Opperman says police have identified the caller and are pursuing him as the suspect.

Jackson was known for his flashy lifestyle, periodic legal clashes with police and employees, and the provocative ads of his Teazers clubs. The Teazers website described him as a man unafraid to not only step on toes "but jump on them for added effect".
