Prince Harry has passed his Army pilot's course, it was revealed yesterday.
It will boost his hopes of returning to Afghanistan.
Harry, 25, must decide whether to fly an Apache or a Lynx helicopter before receiving his Provisional Wings from his father, Prince Charles, at his graduation next Friday.
A St James's Palace spokesman said: "Prince Harry is very pleased".
He is expected to choose the less high-profile Lynx, which would keep him away from close combat.
