Jaroslaw Kaczynski, the head of the main opposition party PiS and the brother of the late President Lech Kaczynski, addressed the Russians in a televised speech on Sunday, expressing his gratitude for Russian's support after the presidential aircraft crash in Smolensk on April 10.
Earlier on Saturday, Polish acting President Bronislaw Komorowski took part in commemorations of the WW2 victory on Red Square in Moscow, the first ones ever to include a parade of the Polish army soldiers.
Before the ceremony Russian President Dimitry Medvedev handed out to Komorowski the files of the Katyn massacre investigation and assured him that he would work to disclose the remaining volumes of the documentation.
