Addis Abbaba, June 25, 2010 (BIN) – Kenyan police arrested 41 Ethiopian immigrants on Wednesday at a bungalow on the outskirts of the capital Nairobi.
The arrested immigrants suspected to be victims of a human trafficking racket and they were found in a tiny house about three kilometres from Ngong Town in the capital.
According to Daily Nation the quiet compound had no sign of life except for the caretaker, who could barely speak English or Kiswahili said: “Nobody here, nobody no English no Swahili”.
The aliens were lying on the floor heaped on each other, weak and distressed. They were in house which was worse than of a police cell. They are now been jailed at Ngong Police station.
Immigrants from Ethiopia usually sneak to Kenya to look for jobs. Ethiopia is under rule of a dictator Melez Zenawi for nearly two decades, he won the last presidential election this year.
