SINGAPORE, June 1 (Bernama) -- The foreign ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) who met here today "strongly deplored and condemned" the Israeli raid on the Gaza-bound humanitarian flotilla Monday.
In a joint statement at the conclusion of their one-day Second Asean-GCC Ministerial Meeting, the ministers said they "strongly deplored and condemned this Israeli raid and act of violence in international waters".
The GCC comprises Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
This was their second meeting to finalise plans to bolster the relations of the two regional groupings since they first met in Manama, Bahrain in June last year.
