Columbia moves ahead on 'Ghost Rider' sequel

Columbia Pictures is prepping a "Ghost Rider" sequel and is in talks with Nicolas Cage to star.

According to Variety, the directing team of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor are in talks to direct.

Eva Mendes, who co-starred in the original "Ghost Rider" is not expected to return.

Scott Gimple and Seth Hoffman wrote the screenplay, which is based on a story by David Goyer. The logline is being kept under wraps.
