Addis Ababa, June 18 (WIC) – The Ministry of Water Resources (MoWR) said Ethiopia will host the 18th regular meeting of Council of Ministers of Water Affairs of the Nile Basin countries scheduled to take place next week.
Ministry Communication and Public Relations Directorate Director, Bizuneh Tolcha, told WIC the meeting will hear performance report of last fiscal year as well as approve plan and budget for the year 2010/2011.
He said the conference is to be preceded by a five-day meeting of the technical committees.
According to Bizuneh, about 60 water ministers, development partners, counselors, and invited guests are expected to take part at the meeting.
Ethiopia is currently the chairman of the Nile Council of Ministers, it was learnt.
