A man is to appear in court in Cork today charged with the unlawful possession of a firearm.
The man (29) is charged in connection with an incident that led to a man being shot by armed gardaí for refusing to drop a gun in a Cork city pub last month.
The man, who was arrested in the south of the city yesterday, was being questioned about the illegal possession of a firearm. He was held at Gurranebraher Garda station.
A man in his 30s was later arrested over the same incident and held in Gurranebraher station.
