PESHAWAR: Over Rs 294 billion tax free budget of Khyber Pukhtoonkhawa for the next financial year was announced in Peshawar on Saturday. This shows an overall increase of forty percent as compared to the outgoing financial year budget.
Announcing the budget in the Provincial Assembly, the Finance Minister Engineer Muhammad Hamayun Khan said the expenditure for the new financial year is estimated at two hundred ninetyfour point two billion rupees.
The total receipts of the province has been estimated over seven billion rupees. The total volume of the Anual Development Programme for the next financialyear has been estimated at sixtynine point three billion rupees showing seventyseven percent increase.
Out of total outlay of the expenditures, one hundred and twentyeight billion rupees have been proposed for current expenditures.
The Finance Minister announced fifty percent increase in salaries of government employees and fifteen to twenty percent increase in the pension of retired government employees.
