Doctors examine giant heart

Organ of giant finback could help scientists understand human heart disease
Weighing in at 200 kilos, the heart of the giant finback whale that died in Vejle Fjord nearly a month ago, presented doctors at Skejby Hospital in Århus with a unique opportunity.
Speaking to national broadcaster DR, heart surgeon Morten Smerup said: ‘It has certainly been a challenge because of its dimensions. One has to treat a heart this size rather differently than one would a human heart’.
