The emirate's non-oil international trade increases to Dh228.2 billion
Dubai has registered a growth of 16 per cent in non-oil international trade in the first five months of 2010, according to the statistics provided by Dubai Customs.
The trade amounted to Dh228.2 billion during the first five months of the current year as compared to Dh197bn in the same period last year.
The data issued by the Statistics department at Dubai Customs indicated a rise in the value of Dubai exports by almost 12 per cent reaching Dh145.6bn over the first five months this year against Dh130.6bn in the same period last year.
The direct export operations recorded the highest figure over the past five years reaching Dh26.7bn representing 43 per cent increase in the export volume as compared to Dh18.7bn in the same period last year.
