Girl, 17, allegedly tries to poison mom

PORTSMOUTH, N.H., July 27 (UPI) -- A New Hampshire girl was charged with placing another in danger for allegedly spiking Kool-Aid with Lysol to try to harm her mother, officials say.

Brittany Merrill, 17, of Portsmouth, who is faces the Class A misdemeanor count for allegedly pouring a capful of the disinfectant into the container of the drink in the family refrigerator, said she wanted to "get back" at her mother for an argument they had two days earlier, seacoastonline.com reported Tuesday.

Merrill was arrested Monday, the news Web site reported.
