Kaczynski party politicizes air crash investigation - victim's daughter

The daughter of a Polish official, killed in an air crash near the western Russian city of Smolensk in April, on Monday accused the opposition Law and Justice Party of trying to politicize an investigation into the tragedy.
A plane carrying President Lech Kaczynski and around 90 officials crashed en route to Smolensk on April 10, killing everyone on board. The high-ranking delegation was due to attend a memorial ceremony for the victims of the 1940 Katyn massacre, in which Soviet secret police killed thousands of Polish military officers.
Izabela Sariusz-Skapska, the daughter of Andrzej Sariusz-Skapski, the late Chairman of the Federation of Katyn Families, criticized an investigative committee set up last week by the Law and Justice Party, which is led by the late Polish leader's brother, Jaroslaw Kaczynski.
