RICHMOND, Va., July 27 (UPI) -- The Richmond, Va., Federal Reserve Bank said manufacturing activity in the Central Atlantic states expanded for the sixth consecutive month in July.
The Richmond Fed said shipments and new orders grew, but at a slower pace than a month ago. Inventories grew at a faster pace than June, but vendor lead-time rose "at a considerably slower rate" compared with June.
The employment index rose modestly, rolling up from 9 in June to 15, the Richmond Fed said.
