A mother-of-three was found dead with her toddler son curled up in her arms after she was electrocuted in a freak garden accident.
Laura Hobday was found lying next to her hedge trimmer by neighbours who had earlier heard 22-month-old Josh crying, ‘Mummy’.
The 35-year-old had received a fatal electric shock from the equipment after a botched home repair on the wiring, an inquest heard.
Neighbour Victoria Morris told the hearing she went to check on Ms Hobday after she failed to pick up her eldest son from nursery as usual at midday.
Mrs Morris and her friend Adrienne Purdon became even more concerned when they could not get an answer from the four-bedroom semi-detached house in Ringmer, near Lewes.
