DAMMAM: The number of employees bunking work by calling in sick is on the rise in the Kingdom. This trend is rampant mainly because of the easy availability of sick leave. Many hospital staffers and even some bosses are accused of helping employees take days off illegally.
A number of officials and experts have urged authorities to introduce strict regulations to put an end to the practice.
They underlined the need to take stringent punitive measures against violators of regulations governing sick leave, according to a report published by Al-Riyadh Arabic daily.
