Suicide bomber kills 4, wounds 23 in western Iraq

Baghdad, Iraq (CNN) -- A female suicide bomber detonated explosives at a provincial council office in western Iraq on Sunday, killing four people and wounding 23 others, the interior ministry said.
The attack took place in Ramadi in Anbar province, about 100 km (62 miles) west of Baghdad.
Most of the wounded were provincial council guards, the interior ministry said.
On Friday, a major Sunni cleric, Abdul Aleem Al-Sa'di, was assassinated in Ramadi by unknown armed men.
In recent months, Ramadi has seen an uptick in attacks, targeting politicians, government officials and religious figures.
