Trio of separate incidents brings British death toll in Afghan campaign to 321 since 2001
Three British servicemen have been killed in separate incidents in Afghanistan in the last 24 hours.
A soldier with the Royal Dragoon Guards died in a blast in the Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand today, said the Ministry of Defence. Yesterday an RAF airman died in a road accident near Camp Bastion in Helmand, and a marine from 40 Commando Royal Marines was killed in an explosion while on foot patrol in Sangin. Next of kin have been informed.
