Tornado kills two in Montana

MINNEAPOLIS, July 27 (UPI) -- A tornado that touched down near Medicine Lake and Reserve in northeastern Montana killed two people, officials said.

Authorities had no information about how much property damage the storm system caused when it swept through the Plains Monday, although the National Weather Service said golf-ball sized hail destroyed crops, KRTV, Great Falls, Mont., reported.

The same system moved east Tuesday, bringing the threat of severe weather and tornadoes to the Upper Midwest, Accuweather.com reported.
