UEFA actively monitors Ukraine's preparations for 2012 Euro Cup

Experts from the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) have begun actively monitoring Ukraine's preparations to co-host the 2012 European football championships, the mayor of the Ukrainian city of Donetsk said on Tuesday.
Donetsk, along with the Ukrainian cities of Kiev, Kharkov and Lvov, will host half of the Euro 2012 games. The other matches will take place in the Polish cities of Warsaw, Poznan, Wroclaw, and Gdansk.
"The active phase of monitoring Ukraine's preparations for the Euro 2012 began after the World Cup finished. We are expecting an important UEFA delegation, headed by Secretary General David Taylor, on August 10-11," Oleksandr Lukyanchenko told a news conference.
Ukraine's co-hosting of the 2012 tournament has been a constant source of concern for UEFA.
