(CNN) -- At least 11 people were killed in a bombing in Diyala province Wednesday morning, police said.
Iraqi soldiers received a tip about insurgents hiding in a house in al-Saadiya. When they raided the house, it exploded, authorities said.
Police believe the house was booby trapped.
At least eight Iraqi soldiers were killed, three civilians in a nearby house were also killed. Four soldiers were wounded.
The bombing comes amid political uncertainty and increased attacks across Iraq .
Iraqi politicians have been unable to form a government more than five months after the country's inconclusive national elections.
There have been concerns that insurgents would take advantage of the political vacuum to try and reignite the sectarian bloodshed that gripped Iraq for years. CNN
