WASHINGTON, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- The White House press secretary said President Obama will participate in a summit with European Union leaders Nov. 20.
Obama is scheduled to meet with European Council President Herman Van Rompuy and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, in Lisbon, Portugal, the White House official said in Washington, D.C.
The United States and the European Union will work together to promote security, global prosperity and sustained economic growth, and to combat terrorism and prevent the advancement of weapons of mass destruction, the press secretary said. UPI
