Powerful storm hits Warsaw, floods streets, homes

A powerful storm hit Polish capital Warsaw flooding the streets and homes, knocking down trees and paralyzing traffic, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.
"Some 500 phone calls from Warsaw residents asking for help were received by the city's rescue service within a few hours," a spokesman for the city firefighting service said.
A few subway stations were closed.
