The Moscow authorities have begun using state of the art equipment to clean the air in the streets of Moscow, which is thick with smog, officials said on Monday.
For over a week now Moscow has been shrouded in acrid smog from the worst wildfires in Russian history, with health officials advising people to stay indoors as much as possible and wear masks when outdoors.
Officials say the modernized equipment will make the air cleaner and cooler, and there have already been promising reports that skies in central Moscow are clearing. RIA Novosti
