Darmstadt, Germany (CNN) -- A verdict was expected Thursday in the trial of a German pop star accused of failing to tell sexual partners she has HIV and infecting one of them.
Nadja Benaissa, 28, the former singer in the girl band No Angels, is charged with causing grievous bodily harm and attempted bodily harm.
Prosecutors and defense attorneys have both pressed for Benaissa to be given probation if she is found guilty, the German news agency DPA reported. CNN
