MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Three Vikings visited quarterback Brett Favre at home Tuesday to try to convince him to return to the team, The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported.
The newspaper said kicker Ryan Longwell, guard Steve Hutchinson and defensive end Jared Allen were absent from Vikings practice and were en route to Hattiesburg, Miss.
Favre has not made a decision on playing this year, suffering from an injured ankle. He had surgery in May to have scar tissue and bone spurs removed, but the newspaper reported two weeks ago Favre had decided not to play in 2010 because the injury was not responding well to treatment. UPI
