NEW ORLEANS, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- A U.S. probe into the Deepwater Horizon explosion and spill will hear testimony from a land-based manager visiting the rig when it blew up, officials said.
Daun Winslow, division manager for rig owner Transocean, will be testifying as joint hearings by the U.S. Coast Guard and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement resume Tuesday, The (New Orleans) Times-Picayune reported.
Winslow will be questioned by lawyers from BP, Transocean, Halliburton and other companies involved in the incident, as well as from attorneys representing various rig workers identified as "parties of interest," the newspaper said.
Two other key witnesses are also scheduled to testify. UPI
