Deputy of Afghan Journalists Association Stabbed, Killed


Sayed Hamid Noori, a journalist and deputy of Afghan Journalists association was stabbed and killed by unknown men on Sunday evening in Kabul
The Afghan President, Hamid Karzai ordered the Ministry of Interior Affairs to investigate the case and punish the criminals.
"This case will be thoroughly investigated and President Karzai has ordered the Ministry of Interior to track the murderers. The murderers should be severly punishedt," said Deputy Spokesperson for the President, Seyamak Herawi.
"The martyrdom of Sayed Hamid Noori once again increased concerns that reporters in the most secure area of Kabul can be murdered and no one can stop it," said Chairman of Nai Media Watch, Sediqullah Tawhidi.
Some journalists in Kabul warned that violence against reporters have increased unprecedently in the country.
Media rights' groups and the Ministry of Information and Culture urged justice and security organisations to immediately start investigations about the incident.
