DFM hits three-month high


The last trading session on Dubai Financial Market (DFM), before it closes for Eid holidays from Wednesday, saw the benchmark index climbing to three-month highs supported by favourable cues from Asia-Pacific markets.
The market closed at 1,592.24, up 23.36 points or 1.49 per cent with all sectoral indices posting gains. The last time the index soared above this mark was on May 30 when it closed at 1,601.240.
 
Top gainers were Tabreed, Du, DFM, Dubai Islamic Insurance, Commercial Bank of Dubai, among others.
 
The market breadth was positive, with 18 advances against 8 declines. 
 
The market volume, however, dipped from Monday’s 204 million to 156 million, while turnover also dropped from Monday’s Dh393 million to around Dh275 million.
