LAS VEGAS, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Socialite Paris Hilton pleaded guilty Monday in a Las Vegas to two misdemeanors in her arrest last month on drug charges.
Hilton was arrested Aug. 27 for cocaine possession and charged with felony drug possession.
However, the count was downgraded in a plea deal in which Hilton pleaded guilty to drug possession and obstructing a police officer for telling the authorities the purse where the drugs were found wasn't hers, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The former star of "The Simple Life" was sentenced to a year of probation, and ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and serve 200 hours of community service.
