Jodie Foster defends Mel Gibson

Whether or not Hollywood turns its back on Mel Gibson, he'll always have Jodie Foster in his corner.
Foster, who directed and co-stars with Gibson in the upcoming dramedy "The Beaver," tells October's More magazine she is standing by the troubled actor throughout his ongoing battle with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
Foster, 47, says that she and Gibson – who portrays a man who rescues himself from depression by wearing and speaking through a beaver puppet in the film - immediately clicked when they first teamed up for the 1994 Western "Maverick." The 54-year-old star was the "easiest, nicest person I've ever worked with," she explains. "The second I met him, I said, 'I will love this man for the rest of my life'".
And she meant it. Despite his recent troubles with Grigorieva, which includes allegations of domestic violence and recordings filled with racist and obscene rants, Foster isn't giving up on Gibson.
