NEW YORK, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- New York Jets fans allegedly threw beer on a teenage New England Patriots fan and assaulted her mother for waving a Patriot sign at a Jets game, a lawsuit says.
Randy and Michelle Munoz of Montgomery, N.Y. are suing the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority over the actions of allegedly drunken Jets fans at a September 2009 game between the Jets and Patriots, the New York Daily News reported.
The couple attended the game with their three children, where Jets fans allegedly cursed and threw beer at daughter Danielle Munoz, 14, who wore a Patriots Jersey.
The Munoz's say they talked to security about the behavior of the fans but offices refused to act.
