ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- A suicide car bomber detonated his explosives at a police station in northwestern Pakistan Monday, killing at least 13 people, hospital sources said.
The hospital sources also told the Pakistani television network Samaa 39 other people were wounded in the attack, some seriously.
Samaa said there were reports the bomb-packed vehicle slammed into the rear wall of the police station in Lakki Marwat in Kyber Pakhtunkhwa, one of Pakistan's four provinces formerly known as the North-West Frontier province.
Five police officers were among the dead.
