Experts at the Global Policy Forum in Yaroslavl are to discuss the implementation of Russia’s modernization plans, a Russian political expert said on Wednesday.
The forum “The Modern State: Standards of Democracy and Criteria of Efficiency” will be held in Yaroslavl, 250 km northeast of Moscow, on September 9-10 and will gather around 500 Russian and foreign experts and 500 journalists.
“This is the venue for serious expert efforts to work out not only the modernization idea but the technology of its implementation and deliberations on overcoming the obstacles on the way to modernization,” said Professor Oksana Gaman-Golutvina, from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
The expert said participants of the forum will discuss the topical issues such as democracy and global security which are essential for implementing modernization in Russia.
