Russia is open to cooperation with the Asian countries, President Dmitry Medvedev told the Russia-ASEAN summit in Vietnam.
The second summit between Russia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is being held in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi.
"The successful construction of an Asian-Pacific house meets the interests of all countries and meets their hopes for a peaceful and creative life," Medvedev said.
"I would like to reiterate that Russia is open to such cooperation," he added.
The previous Russia-ASEAN summit was held in Malaysia in 2006.
