Russian Maria Kirilenko beat her compatriot Vera Dushevina in the Kremlin Cup semifinals on Saturday to set up a final against Victoria Azarenka of Belarus.
Azarenka, the second seed, beat Spaniard Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez 6-3, 6-3 in the first semifinal.
Although Dushevina had won three of her four previous matches against Kirilenko, she was overpowered on Saturday, losing to the No. 6 seed 6-1, 6-1 in an hour and 11 minutes.
Kirilenko and Azarenka were partners in the doubles tournament, losing in the semifinals on Friday.
The women's final will take place in Moscow's Olympiisky Sport Complex on Sunday.
