JFK Airport emptied for suspicious parcel

NEW YORK, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- A suspicious package from Yemen prompted the precautionary evacuation of a shipping facility at JFK International Airport Wednesday, NBC New York reported.

Bomb squad technicians were called to Building 263 about 5:45 p.m. EDT and the DHL facility was emptied while the package was checked out, a source told NBC. At 8 p.m., the all-clear was given, Port Authority officials said.

"Out of an abundance of caution, FBI agents, PAPD, NYPD and CBP are inspecting a package at JFK. No determination has been made as to the contents," FBI spokesman Richard Kolko said.
