Japan's Nissan may buy 10 percent of Russia's largest car maker AvtoVAZ in the first or second quarter of 2011 with cash, Sergei Chemezov, head of Russia's state-owned hi-tech conglomerate Russian Technologies (Rostechnologii), which owns 25 percent of AvtoVAZ, said on Friday.
"Russian Technologies will sell four percent of its shares, and Troika Dialog will sell another six percent," Chemezov said. "(The deal) will take place in spring".
Troika Dialog, the Renault-Nissan alliance and Russian Technologies each hold 25 percent of AvtoVAZ.
