Healthy food, beverages and products, and environmentally safe technologies are on display in the Bulgarian capital beginning Wednesday.
The expo, titled "Bio Eco Expo2010," is located in the National Palace of Culture in downtown Sofia and was officially opened byAgriculture Minister, Miroslav Naydenov.
"Bio" products include cereal, chocolate, cheeses, meat and fish products, coffee, tea, juices, food supplements, vitamins, herbs, nuts, and honey without conservants and artificial coloring.
The display also boasts natural and organic cosmetics – lotions, face masks, makeup, sunblock, shampoos and conditioners, among others, usually offered in specialized beauty and Spa centers. These products include only natural ingredients and are safe for people with allergic reactions.
Manufacturers of organic rose oil, used in perfumes and medications, are also among the participants.
Other businesses will present environmentally sound fertilizers, laundry detergents and softeners, cleaning solutions, clothes, toys, bed sheets, biodegradable packaging and innovative technologies such as the new equipment for the sale of whole milk in open spaces, for water purification, and others.
