MUNICH, Germany, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- A suspicious package was discovered on board a plane bound for Munich, Germany, from Windhoek, Nambia, German police said Thursday.
Nambian security officials said the package, found as it was being loaded onto an Air Berlin plane, contained a detonator and a timer, Radio France Internationale reported.
The security forces didn't indicate whether the package contained explosives.
German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere on Wednesday ordered heightened security measures throughout the country after officials received a tip that an attack was being planned in Germany later in November.
