Israel train fire sends more than 100 to hospital

Jerusalem (CNN) -- A fire aboard a train carrying passengers from Haifa to Tel Aviv on Tuesday sent more than 100 people to the hospital, Israeli authorities said.
Passengers broke windows to escape from the fire, which completely destroyed two train cars and filled others with smoke. The fire broke out in the rear carriages, according to police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld.
Rescue crews helped evacuate passengers. Five people sustained moderate injuries, according to medical services officials. The rest were lightly injured, according to authorities.
An investigation into the cause was under way, but authorities said an electrical short is a strong possibility. CNN
